advertisers received an email from Google Ads with the headline: \u201cWe\u2019ll focus on your campaigns, so you can focus on your business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unless advertisers opted out, they would have been added to the program automatically seven days after receiving the email.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to the email, the Google Ad experts would identify \u201ckey changes that can help you get more out of your ads, from restructuring your ad groups and modifying your keywords to adjusting your bids and updating your ad text.\u201d (That was structure, keywords, bids, ads.) They would also offer \u201csetup and ongoing activation of advanced features\u201d and \u201censure the right features are being activated at the right moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bigalittlea\/status\/1088449772006993920\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">disclaimer (posted by Aron Levy)<\/a>\u00a0the company said it didn\u2019t \u201cguarantee or promise any particular results from implementing these changes\u201d made by its experts.<\/p>\n<p>As Levy <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bigalittlea\/status\/1088449360239616000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">put it on Twitter<\/a>, Google was basically saying: \u201cwe\u2019re gonna start messing with your accounts in a week unless you explicitly say no.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What did Google have to say about this pilot program? \u201cOur sales teams are always looking for ways to help customers get the best results from Google Ads. We are rolling out a pilot program that we believe will help businesses optimize their accounts. As always, we build customer feedback into the final product.
