Microsoft will launch a new, AI-powered search engine that people can chat with, ask questions, or even use to create content.<\/p>\n

But now it\u2019s been confirmed by Microsoft. Bing will be using a new ChatGPT designed for search.<\/p>\n Microsoft said this version of OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT is faster, more accurate and customized specifically for search, using GPT-3.5.<\/p>\n New homepage.<\/strong> We reported on Microsoft Bing\u2019s ChatGPT interface being spotted in the wild<\/a>, but here is Microsoft officially unveiling the new Bing homepage:<\/p>\n <\/a>Introducing the new Bing<\/p>\n With the new homepage, Bing greets searchers with the message \u201cAsk me anything.\u201d Bing tells searchers they can ask questions and get complete answers.<\/p>\n Core search changes.<\/strong> Microsoft also announced new core search index improvements. And he\u2019s right. They are. We are watching AI technology reshape, perhaps even \u201crevolutionize\u201d search. The addition of AI by Google and Microsoft Bing will have major implications for everyone in search marketing. <\/p>\n Half of people\u2019s searches go unanswered.<\/strong> According to Microsoft:<\/p>\n \u201cThere are 10 billion search queries a day, but we estimate half of them go unanswered. That\u2019s because people are using search to do things it wasn\u2019t originally designed to do. It\u2019s great for finding a website, but for more complex questions or tasks too often it falls short.\u201d<\/p>\n Some interesting stats from Microsoft and context on why it\u2019s time for a \u201cnew approach\u201d with search:<\/p>\n 40% of queries result in someone clicking back.<\/p>\n Most searches are three keywords or less. <\/p>\n 50,000 people\u2019s searches go unanswered.<\/p>\n Preview.<\/strong> Microsoft said it will be previewing the new Bing today on desktop, where you can do some sample queries and sign-up to get on the waitlist.
