The EU began its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/searchengineland.com\/european-commission-holds-up-googles-acquisition-of-doubleclick-12696\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">investigation<\/a>\u00a0in November 2007. The US Federal Trade Commission <a href=\"https:\/\/searchengineland.com\/ftcs-xmas-gift-to-google-approval-of-doubleclick-acquisition-12986\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approved the
