I am seeing an increase in chatter amongst the SEO industry around a possible Google search ranking algorithm update around Friday, May 7th and then again on Sunday, May 9th. Even some of the tools are showing the changes as well. But it doesn’t seem to be a massive update, like some previous Google updates.

Google Search Cameos For Product Searches
Google first launched what it called cameos, selfie style videos from well-known people, back in 2017. Generally those shows up for people’s own knowledge panels, like you would see for a search on my name. But now, it seems Google is showing them for product searches and more generic searches.
