Google Ball Pit Pool

Google’s John Mueller said that “the total number [of backlinks] essentially is completely irrelevant” to rankings in Google in a video hangout last week. I heard the statement and didn’t cover because it is SEO 101 but then I saw some of the responses on the internet about this line and decided it is worth repeating.

The AMP cache URL is the URL that looks like https://www.google.com/amp/s/ followed by your site’s details. You do not have fully control over that URL, so there is really no need to worry about having that URL redirect to your site. Google’s John Mueller said on Reddit “It’ll fix itself automatically, you don’t need to do anything special with it & you can’t redirect it.”

Google is once again testing showing very large images and a very large image in the search ads again. These Google Ads take up a lot of search result page real estate.
