Google’s John Mueller was asked if stock levels can impact the ranking of products on an e-commerce site. John implied that the answer is no, he said “that seems unrelated, at least for normal search. It might impact product search but he is not sure if it will or won’t – but normal web search, it should not impact.

Google’s John Mueller said in the Friday webmaster hangout said that “especially for medical topics, anything that’s a little bit more critical” Google is more selective and critical over. He said he would see an “medical e-commerce site kind of falling into that category.”
Google Fixed The Soft 404 Bug – I Think…
A week or so ago, I reported that there was an issue with Google Search labeling real content pages as soft 404s, and thus not ranking those pages in Google Search. This bug directly seemed to have caused traffic issues for these sites. Well, that bug seems now to be mostly, if not fully, resolved.
