Here is a good one-liner from Google’s John Mueller on the technicalities of the Google index. John said on Twitter “A page’s content doesn’t need to be indexed for a page to be indexed.”

Google Hotel Knowledge Panels Gain Health & Safety And Sustainability
Google is now testing or rolling out the Health & Safety and Sustainability information for hotels right in the knowledge panel. Previously, in 2020 it was added to the hotel landing pages in the Google hotel search results but now it can show directly in Google Search.
New Googlebot: Google-InspectionTool Added To Crawler User Agents
Google has added a new user agent to the list of Google crawlers, Googlebots. This one is named Google-InspectionTool and goes under both the Googlebot user agent and also the name Google-InspectionTool.
