Google AI Overviews Not Linking To Sites Hit By Helpful Content Update
Google’s AI Overviews seem to not show citations or link to sites that were hit by the helpful content update (and probably core updates), even when you ask the AI Overview directly about that site and even if that site is ranking well for that query in the traditional Google search results.
Google Ads Tests People Also Browsed Carousel
Google is also testing this new ad format labeled “People also browsed.” I guess this shows you what other products on Google searchers looked at for a similar query and is now showing you ads that match those browser sessions for those queries.
Google Trends Email Subscriptions Going Away Next Month
Google will discontinue the Google Trends email subscription service on October 29, 2024. Google sent emails to those who had subscribed to Google Trends over email saying, “Google Trends trend notifications will no longer be supported and existing alerts will no longer be sent.”
