There is a new Google ranking factor survey out for 2026. It has been a while since we had one, and it is here. This one was done by Cyrus Shepard and Dawn Shepard and posted at Zyppy. It says content relevance, backlinks, and content quality are the most important factors, according to the experts who were surveyed.

Google Ads Commerce Audience Sharing Help Document
Google has posted a new help document in the Google Ads help area named About commerce audience sharing through Google Ads. It explains that “Commerce audience sharing allows commerce partners, such as retailers or marketplaces, to share first-party data segments with their advertising partners, such as brands or sellers.”
Google Maps Blocked 292 Million Reviews & Removed 13 Million Fake Profiles
Google also released the annual Google Maps safety report saying blocked or removed over 292 million policy-violating reviews and removed over 13 million fake Business Profiles. Google also said it blocked 79 million inaccurate or unverified edits and placed posting restrictions on more than 783,000 policy-violating accounts.
