Google News Publisher Center Design Updated/Tweaked
Google has made design updates to the Google News Publisher Center. I don’t know if new functionality was added, it does not appear so, but maybe I am missing something. I’ll be honest, I do not use the publisher center that often, so I’m really not sure.
It’s Gone: The Google Search Console URL Parameter Tool Is Now Offline
As expected, the Google Search Console URL Parameter Tool is no longer available. If you try to access it for a specific property, you get a message that reads “this report is no longer available here.” It links you to the announcement that the tool was being decommissioned today.
Google: Personalization In Search Is Extremely Light & Rare For Ranking
Google’s Danny Sullivan confirmed, again, that personalization in Google Search is an “extremely light” ranking signal. In fact, he said personalization is “fairly rare” to be used for ranking purposes.
