Google: You Do Not Need To Switch Rel Nofollow To Rel Sponsored
When Google announced the new link spam update, a ton of confusion arose with that announcement. The confusion was mostly around do you need to change your nofollow links to rel=sponsored for affiliate or similar links. The answer is no, nofollow is fine and you won’t get in trouble for using nofollow instead of rel sponsored.
Google Sharable Links For Recent Searches & Local Packs
Google lets you create a link of your recent searches that you can share with your friends or colleagues. So if you are planning a road trip with friends, you can compile a bunch of links to share with the group. Google is also showing a share link for local packs in search.
Bing Local Replaces Yelp Reviews With Facebook & Foursquare Reviews
Jason Brown reported that Microsoft dropped using Yelp reviews within Bing Local. Now instead, it seems Bing is using Facebook and Foursqaure and maybe others. Here is a screen shot of my business listing in Microsoft Bing showing Foursquare tips.
