It looks like we are seeing some Googler accounts being taken over by sites that sell SEO services, or dare I say it, spammy or low-quality SEO services. Martin Splitt from Google let his X account go during the whole Twitter to X Elon thing and eventually that account was picked up by a search engine indexing service.

Google Search Ranking Volatility Heats Up January 29 & 30th
Google Search ranking volatility spiked and heated again over the past 24-hours or so. I am seeing renewed chatter spike up yesterday, January 29th and continue through today. I am also seeing that some of the tracking tools are showing an increase in ranking volatility within Google Search over the past day.

Google Ads has quietly launched a new brand report. The brand report “is a dedicated brand advertiser experience that provides you with deduplicated reach and frequency metrics across your campaigns,” Google wrote.
